This field of research focus on patients as individuals, aiming at answering research questions of clinical medicine. Studies of diagnostic tests, treatment, prognosis and ethiology will be studied.
At the end of the curricular unit students should be able to:
Explain the concept of research in the clinical perspective.
Formulate clinical questions.
Characterize risk / etiology, diagnostic tests, treatment, prevention studis, prognosis, evidence synthesis studies;
Design risk / etiology, diagnostic tests, treatment, prevention studis, prognosis, evidence synthesis studies.
Clinical research questions.
Evidence Based Medicine.
Levels of evidence and grades of recommendations.
Studies of diagnostic tests, treatment, prognosis and ethiology.
Systematic reviews and metaanalysis.
After the theoretical exposition of each topic described for UC will rise to practical working groups and review and the individual performance of exercises, mainly using an optimized platform for e-learning for teaching discipline. This distribution will fulfill the hourly distribution. The course will have its valuation resulting mainly from the completion of a written test (50%) and presentation of a work (50%).
